OUR STORY

A & P Shipping Corporation was founded in 1972 to move automobiles and pets between Hawaii and the mainland. Shirley and Smith (Alex) Alexander started the company with a Volkswagen bus and a will to succeed. In 1980, A & P Shipping expanded into the household goods moving and storage business by leasing a small warehouse.

From that modest beginning, A & P Shipping has grown into a transportation company which transports over 6 million pounds of household goods worldwide and over 300 automobiles to and from Hawaii, annually.
The picture shows our corporate offices in Waipio Gentry Industrial Park in central Oahu. We share our offices with our sister company and Hawaii agent, American Movers, Inc. Our 71,000 square foot warehouse is insulated with state-of-the-art security, including 24-hour video surveillance.
